Lightweight body
The Legacy's lightweight body not only improves performance and fuel consumption but makes no compromises when it comes to safety. We apply a range of different technologies to reduce weight in components, but without affecting overall strength in impact situations. Aluminium is extensively used - coupled with high-tensile strength steel and Tailored-Blank welding techniques, so that the Legacy's drivers inherit security, as well as agility and performance ability.
Suspension
With a combination of high-rigidity long-stroke strut suspension at the front, and supple multi-link design to the rear, the latest Legacy brings together a rigid body and supple yet taut suspension for great handling and comfort. The result is a balance between sportiness and stability. Optimising the geometry at the rear not only helps the Legacy's cornering poise, but also means no projections, to leave you a full, flat loadspace. For the 3.0R spec.B models, we have added Bilstein* inverted struts in the front and dampers in the rear to provide enhanced handling and comfort.
